I have really enjoyed doing voiceover work as a career now, for three years. I started out a local radio station doing voiceover for skits they did in between their shows. The manager thought I had a funny and distinct voice. I had gone to their office to do a week of temp receptionist work, and when I met a couple of the on air talents, they told me about a job that would be perfect not for only my voice but my personality too. So I made a demo with them and they started using me in their skits right away. This put my foot in the door, and helped me get other work around town. I have been able to quit my job doing clerical work and focus on a career in voiceover work. I will be auditioning for a national commercial in a few days, I am excited and scared at the same time.
